Bellringer - DLW (Daily Language Workouts)

Links to weekly sentences are below. The focus of DLW is grammar, mechanics, and usage. Students will work in class on Mondays through Thursdays to correct errors in the sentences. This will prepare them for the weekly quizzes, which will be given on Fridays. It is the students' responsibility to catch up on any sentences missed due to absences. It is also the students' responsibility to make up any quiz missed due to absence.

Links below are resources for parents and students in regards to NWEA testing. 


eLearning

Instructions for Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2018: Students should go to eBackpack and complete the assignment titled eLearning for Jan. 24th: Grammar & Research Paper. The instructions are provided in eBackpack and should be read carefully. 

Requirements: If you complete a lesson and submit it to eBackpack, do a screen shot of the date and time you submitted it. I will no longer accept the excuse that I turned it in, but it didn't go through. You must have proof. If there is a problem with your eBackpack, you must talk to Mr. Schmidt or Mr. Horrell. 

If your Internet suddenly goes out or your family decided to switch Internet providers in the middle of an eLearning day, you must bring a signed note from a parent, or your parent must email me. 

If there is ANY problem with doing eLearning while you are at home, you must email or call me immediately - the day of eLearning. Emails and phone numbers for each teacher are provided in a link below. You should add those to your phone or take a screen shot of the document. Another option is to upload the document to your home screen. 

Attendance: Attendance will be taken by completion of the assignment. If the assignment is completed by the due date and time, you will be counted present for the eLearning day. You DO NOT need to email me in regards to attendance.

Washington DC and 8th Grade Celebration Forms

Students should have these forms signed and on file with the WMS office. Forms were sent home on August 9th. There are links to each form below if they need to be printed at home.
